Luiz Fabiano Saragiotto is Chairman of the Board of TMA Brasil, Managing Partner at Journey Capital - a Brazilian asset manager specialized in Special Situations - and Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO) of Samarco Mineração. Fabiano has over 25 years of experience in the Brazilian credit, distress and NPL markets. Before joining Samarco (2021) and Journey Capital (2017), Fabiano was Head of Deutsche Bank’s Brazil Structured Credit Group and Head of NPLs for Latin America, working on the origination, structuring and distribution of high-yield corporate debt as well as on trading of distressed loans and bonds, in addition to managing a diverse portfolio of NPLs. Before joining DB, Fabiano spent 19 years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, being 9 years in the Latin America Special Situations group with a focus on trading and structuring of high-yield and distress transactions, debt restructurings and credit portfolios, and 10 years in various roles in the corporate finance and investment banking areas, including M&A advisory, structured finance and credit management in São Paulo and Miami. Fabiano holds a bachelor’s degree in Business from Mackenzie University in São Paulo.
